The Florida Greek Standards Accreditation Program (FGS)

Click here for the Florida Greek Standards Accreditation Program Submission form

The Florida Greek Standards Accreditation Program (FGS) is a set of guidelines and achievements that establishes minimum operating standards for social sororities and fraternities at the University of Florida, as well as opportunities for demonstrating success above and beyond the minimum expectations.

Based on the community’s tenets of scholarship, leadership, service and community, this program is designed to identify and encourage high ideals, principles, and standards critical to the success of each organization and its members.

FLORIDA GREEK STANDARDS ACCREDITATION STATUSES 2015-2016

The Florida Greek Standards Accreditation Program (FGS) assessment is based upon the chapter's completion of the minimum requirements and additional opportunities for excellence as outlined in our policy. Each chapter will receive an official designation in one of the four chapter categories, directly reflecting that particular chapter's achievement for the previous academic year: Chapter of Excellence, Noteworthy Chapter, Accredited Chapter, and Provisional Chapter.

Chapters scoring at the provisional level will meet with the FGS Review Committee to create an action plan for the upcoming 2016-2017 year. Being a provisional chapter does not restrict the amount of service, philanthropy, or social events the organization can host throughout the year. Please click here to view the statuses of University of Florida's sororities and fraternities.
